Guwahati Shillong Tour Itinerary – 6D

Day 1: Arrival Guwahati

On arrival at Guwahati airport, our cab will pick you up and transfer to the hotel. After fresh up, you can visit Assam State Museum and State Emporium. Later, you can consider a sunset cruise on the river Brahmaputra. Overnight stay at hotel in Guwahati.

Day 2: Guwahati to Cherrapunjee (Enroute Mawphlang)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and travel to Cherrapunjee. Enroute, you can visit Elephant Falls and Mawphlang Forest. You would enjoy the short trek to the forest. Further, travel to Cherrapunjee. You will have the opportunity to visit Seven sister falls, Arwah Cave, Mawsmai Caves and Noh Kalikai falls. Night stay at Cherrapunjee.

Day 3: Trek to Double Decker Root Bridge

After breakfast, start the trek to see the popular Double Decker Root Bridge. The walk through the jungle along the hill would be an amazing experience. Though, the trek is long, you will find it surprisingly unwinding. Evening, back to the hotel and night stay at Cherrapunji.

Day 4: Cherrapunjee to Shillong (Visit Mawlynnong and Dawki)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and vising Mawlynnong village, known as one of the cleanest villages in India. You may also consider a small trek to the root bridge. Go for a boat ride at Dawki and further to Shillong. Night stay at Shillong.

Mawlynnong Village to Shillong distance is 80 km and it is known to be the cleanest village in India. It takes almost 3 hrs drive to reach the picturesque village. You can see the interesting view of living root bridge and a boulder balancing on another rock.

Dawki: The drive to Dawki is truly a great experience. Umngot River is the greatest attraction of going to Dawki Village.

Day 5: Visit to Laitlum and Shillong Local Sightseeing

Visit Laitlum Canyon in the morning. Later, go for a Shillong local sightseeing of Ward’s Lake, Cathedral and Museum. The evening is free for shopping at the local market or at leisure. Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 6: Shillong to Guwahati Travel

After breakfast, you will travel from Shillong to Guwahati Airport. Shillong to Guwahati International Airport distance is 118 km and the driving time is 3.5 hrs. You will be dropped at Guwahati Airport for further travel.

Guwahati Shillong Kaziranga Tour Package
